As we said in the case study for Bodega BJJ, we had the privilege to shoot for the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) to capture footage for their BJJ Road To The Title series. We were hired to shoot highlights of 7th 7th-ranked Kyvaan Gonzalez as well as footage of the gym, inside and out.
Our target audience - BJJ community.
Our goal was to capture highlights of their training and teaching sessions, as well as meaningful moments to the gym.
Planning is everything. They gave us a time, a place, and a mission, and we delivered.
The UFC is starting a division for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, resulting in a rise in social media content for BJJ gyms and practitioners. This was our first time shooting for such a big client. Even though it was in a setting we were getting used to, it was still nerve-racking given the circumstances.
The UFC gave unclear instructions on the frame rate and log profile we should shoot in. They also did not give us any contact information to reach out for questions. We should have pushed harder to speak with someone who could have helped us understand that better.
