Goal: Videography

Package: Content Day

Location ⚘ Year: Tri-State Area. 2025

Our contribution

New Jersey is home to some of the best fighters in the world. Here we got the opportunity to film for the #4 and #7 ranked Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu grapplers in the world, Gianni Grippo and Kyvaan Gonzalez. Mainly providing footage for their Instagram and YouTube channels. We also got to film them for the UFC, which you can find in the case studies soon.

Research

Our target audience - BJJ community.

Filming

Our goal was to capture highlights of their training and teaching sessions, as well as meaningful moments to the gym.

Coordination

Planning is everything. They gave us a time, a place, and a mission, and we delivered.

About

The UFC is starting a division for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, resulting in a rise in social media content for BJJ gyms and practitioners. Bodega Gym wanted to highlight their practices to improve their social media presence and get more clients.

Subject challenge

This was our first time in an intense gym setting. During filming sessions, we had to be barefoot on the training mat, stepping in puddles of sweat and navigating fighters being tossed around. It was a lot of fun and resulted in us learning a lot of new shooting techniques.

Highlight individual grapplers Gianni Grippo, Kyvaan Gonzalez, Vanesa Comeau, Chas Makk, & others.

Purpose

Supply high-quality footage for their social media pages and website.

Platforms

We utilized platforms that can host posts, live streams, and monetization opportunities.

The

Bodega Jiu Jitsu Gym

We needed someone who is able to navigate a hectic gym environment and still capture great footage.

Pain points:

Not a lot of film guys are able to tolerate this gym environment. We were stepping in puddles of sweat while dodging 200lb guys being flung left and right. While a lot of agencies would’ve stayed off the mat, we were right in the middle of the action, just to get the perfect shots.
